Your Vision

Let’s start with an informal meeting to introduce you to your Builder and Designer, to start brainstorming ideas and layouts and develop a concept design for your home. We’ll discuss your budget requirements and note your building wish-list, so we can tailor the home around your life, style and future needs. At this point we’ll be able to provide you with a design costing quote and, subject to your approval, we can enter in to a Preparation of Plans Agreement (PPA).

The Concept

So the PPA is signed and paid for and you are now ready to see your initial design concept. We will meet again to go through the design in detail and discuss your thought processes that went in to your idea.  If you’re like most people, you are most likely to have some changes to the design – this is  completely fine. We’ll document the changes required and update the design to suit your needs. From here on we’ll email you copies of updated drawings, but there’s no stress, we can always meet again to finalise them. As the design takes shape we’ll give you an indication of where it’s sitting cost-wise to ensure you keep within budget.

Be Clear On Cost & Contracts

Your design is now complete and we’re able to firm up a final price for your home. We’ll provide you with a full specification outlining all that’s included in the home for the agreed price, so you know exactly where you are. This specification will be tailored to your requirements and can be changed to suit your budget requirements if it seems too high, or if you want to spend a little more for the perfect result. Once everyone is happy, it’s time to draft up the contract and take a deep breath before signing, as your project is about to get real!

The Fun Stuff

Now the contract is signed and our office is busy working on the required items for your building approval, it’s time for you to get involved in selecting your colours, finishes, fixtures and fittings. We’ll make appointments for you to meet individual suppliers so that you get the chance to touch and feel the products before you make your final decision. Once you have made all your choices, we can finalise any additional costs or refunds and lock in these selections. Your selections made here are final and whilst they can be changed, we try not to as much as possible to avoid incurring any additional costs for you during construction.

The Nitty Gritty

Everything is almost ready to go now, but we’ll need you to start up accounts with various service authorities. We’ll happily guide you through this process to get water, electricity and gas accounts organised for your new home, and if there are any problems along the way, just keep us informed and we will help you.

Getting Serious

Building approval is in, your selections are made – it’s time to get serious and break ground! This is where all the hard work at the start pays off and you finally get to see some action on your block. We will keep you informed about construction schedules throughout this stage so you know exactly what is going on, because we know that you will want to pop some bubbly on that fresh slab!

Your Involvement

Your input and involvement throughout the building process is crucial to you getting exactly what you want at the end of the project.

Ray, your Builder, is always open to meet you on site or answer questions by phone or email about finishes and schedules. Our aim is to make sure your home is 100% right and that’s where good communication and regular site meetings really pay off. Over the years Ray has built a loyal, quality trade base who are all part of the team at Mondo Exclusive Homes, so when you’re on site, feel free to introduce yourself as they’ll be more than happy to have a chat about your home.

Construction is complete, time to go over the home with a fine tooth comb and highlight any reasonable defects that require attention. We create a complete list of any defects and explain why things have been done a particular way, and you can be assured that we’ll have our trades return to complete the defects normally within 15 working days. Once the final payments have been made, and everything is signed off it’s time to step back, celebrate your vision and for us to handover your keys!

Now you may think you have finally got rid of us, but you’re wrong! Our relationship doesn’t just end there – we still need to come back and complete any maintenance issues that arise over the coming months. We don’t expect you to have any major issues, but if there is something that is really bugging you, simply pick up the phone and we’ll aim to get it resolved as quickly as possible.
